1. What This Is

Handwriting Matcher (“the Service”) is an entertainment-only handwriting-style comparison tool. It uses AI to visually compare a handwriting sample you upload against an archive of handwriting from historically infamous figures.

Results are not forensic, diagnostic, scientific, legal, or identity determinations. They carry zero evidentiary value. This is a novelty product — treat it that way.

2. The Deal

The Service is provided completely free of charge. In exchange, you agree to provide your handwriting sample(s) to us. That’s the trade-off: free access in return for your handwriting data. By uploading a sample or drawing on our canvas, you are granting us the rights described in this document.

3. What We Collect

We collect and store the following data:

• Handwriting samples — every image you upload or draw is saved permanently.
• Account information — your email address and authentication credentials (if you create an account).
• Match history — all analysis results and the profiles you were matched against.
• Session & device data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and usage timestamps.
• Anonymous quota tracking — a browser/session identifier plus abuse-prevention hashes to enforce daily analysis limits.

4. How We Use Your Data

• To operate the Service and deliver your match results.
• To improve, train, and refine our handwriting comparison models and AI systems.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce these terms.
• To generate aggregate, anonymized analytics about usage patterns.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that we may share, license, sell, or otherwise provide your data — including your handwriting samples — to third-party partners, service providers, analytics platforms, researchers, or other entities, now or in the future.

This means your handwriting data may be used by third parties for purposes including but not limited to AI/ML training, research, product development, or commercial applications.

We may also share data when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, etc.).

6. Data Retention

All data is saved. Your handwriting samples, match history, and account data are retained indefinitely unless you explicitly request deletion. Even after deletion, copies may persist in backups, caches, or data already shared with third parties.

7. Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and associated data from your Dashboard at any time. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe, but data already shared with third parties or present in backups may not be recoverable.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload handwriting you do not have the right to share.
• Use the Service for harassment, doxxing, impersonation, or criminal accusations.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service.
• Misrepresent match results as factual, forensic, or legally meaningful.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee accuracy, reliability, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose. Use the Service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to emotional distress, reputational harm, or reliance on match results.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
